Experience Required
10-15 years in supply chain, logistics, purchasing, or import/export operations.
Qualifications
Required Education (any one of the following):
- Master’s degree in Business Administration / Supply Chain / Logistics
- B.E. / B.Tech / M.Com with relevant supply chain experience
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, manage, and coordinate procurement activities to meet production and business needs.
- Conduct supplier research and benchmarking to identify quality, reliable, and cost-effective sources.
- Act as liaison between suppliers, manufacturers, internal teams, and customers for smooth operations.
- Develop and maintain long-term relationships with key vendors and sourcing partners.
- Negotiate contracts and ensure compliance with agreed terms, delivery schedules, and service levels.
- Verify and process supplier invoices, cross-checking with purchase orders and delivery notes.
- Maintain up-to-date procurement documentation including contracts, records, and correspondence.
- Monitor market trends to anticipate price movements and adjust material planning accordingly.
- Develop cost-effective procurement strategies aligned with the company’s business goals.
- Generate procurement reports and performance metrics to identify savings and process improvements.
- Resolve supplier or logistics issues promptly to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Maintain and update the approved vendor list based on evaluation and compliance standards.
- Ensure suppliers adhere to company quality and operational standards.
- Manage import/export documentation and ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory guidelines.
- Collaborate with production planning and finance teams for material availability and budget tracking.
- Perform any additional duties as assigned by the reporting manager or department head.
