Job Title: Assistant Manager Procurement (Food Raw Material)

Job Type: Full-Time
Qualification: Graduate (preferably a 4-year business degree or MBA), Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or related field.
Experience: 4 to 6 years of experience in procurement, specifically within the FMCG or food manufacturing industry, with a strong focus on food raw materials (e.g., ingredients, spices, oils, packaging materials).
Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of procurement procedures and best practices for perishable and non-perishable food items.
• Strong skills in vendor development, negotiation, and relationship management.
• Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel for data analysis) and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
• Preference will be given to candidates with experience in implementing and managing vendor quality and food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, ISO 22000).
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities:

• Source, evaluate, and procure high-quality food raw materials as per production requirements.
• Identify, qualify, and onboard new vendors to ensure a reliable and diversified supply base.
• Conduct market research and supplier visits to assess capabilities and ensure quality standards.
• Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure optimal pricing, payment terms, and supply agreements.
• Manage vendor performance against key metrics like quality, delivery, and cost.
• Collaborate with the Quality Assurance (QA) team to ensure all raw materials meet company and regulatory standards.
• Generate and analyze procurement reports on pricing trends, stock levels, and supplier performance for management review.
• Process Purchase Requisitions (PRs) into Purchase Orders (POs) accurately and in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure on-time delivery and maintain optimal inventory levels.
• Resolve any issues related to supplier invoices, delivery discrepancies, or quality rejections.
