Position Overview
We are looking for a skilled and proactive Assistant Manager Procurement (Store) with strong expertise in purchasing body parts, engine parts, and other automotive components. The ideal candidate will manage procurement operations, vendor dealings, and store coordination to ensure timely availability of required parts while maintaining cost efficiency and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute procurement of vehicle body parts, engine parts, and mechanical components.
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with reliable suppliers and workshops.
- Maintain optimum stock levels in coordination with the store team.
- Ensure strict compliance with company procurement policies and approval systems.
- Monitor market prices, quality trends, and availability of automotive parts.
- Coordinate with the maintenance/workshop department for accurate parts specifications.
- Maintain documentation, purchase orders, GRNs, and vendor records.
- Track consumption, usage, and issuance of spare parts in the store.
- Assist in budget planning, cost control, and vendor performance evaluation.
- Support audits and ensure transparency in all procurement processes.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Mechanical/Automotive Engineering
- Experience: Minimum 3–5 years experience in procurement of automotive spare parts, specifically body parts and engine components.
- Strong understanding of vehicle assemblies, engine components, and market parts availability.
- Excellent negotiation, vendor management, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and ERP-based procurement systems.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple purchasing demands.
