Assistant Manager – Reservations

Job Description

  • Support Reservation Manager and Revenue Manager for setting up and achieving set revenue targets.
  • Understand the roles of Sales, GSOs and Front Office in relation to the role of reservations.
  • To continuously review technical problems, work & operational procedures to maintain guest and employee satisfaction.
  • To assist Reservation Manager to management of daily, weekly and monthly reports and projects as defined and requested by the DOSM.
  • Submit requested reports and information in a timely manner.
  • Proactively promote other sister properties of the Dusit Hotels and Resorts.
  • Motivates the reservation team by creating and maintaining a good working environment within the department, and also maintains a positive working relationship with other departments in the hotel.
  • To develop an effective process in sequence of action in call handling, customer enquiries, product descriptions and closing the sale.
  • Develop short, medium and long term reservation strategies to support the overall hotel business needs.
  • Maintains high level of effective communications with guests and colleagues.
  • Exercises and ensures proper selling and up-selling techniques to help in generating maximum revenue for the hotel.
  • Participates in community projects or activities in order to promote the hotel’s image and cooperates to improve community relationship.
  • Maintain a very good reputation for the hotel and assist to increase the overall profitability of the hotel.
