About The Role

Key duties as responsibilities of the role include:

  • Ability to produce conceptual design presentation and undertake design project technical drawings, FF&E detailing, Construction details.
  • Ability to work independently & translate concept to technical drawings, details, FF&E details with minimal supervision with maximum quality & precision.
  • Ability to take site measurements, liaise with contractors, assist with site visits, coordination meetings, site survey.
  • Proficient with Interior Design Standards and knowledge of local codes would be an asset.
  • Able to manage multiple projects and prioritize project workload and/or time sensitive tasks.
  • Assists with selecting finishes for various projects, vendor coordination.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and take direction quickly.
  • Proficient in furniture layout, lighting, custom furniture drawings, and installations.
  • Experience in submittal review, assessment and comment.
  • Organizing systematic filing for drawings and submittals.
  • Conducts inspections & snagging post-delivery/post construction.
  • Follows and stays on schedule with assigned tasks.
  • Ability to communicate with both internal and external clients.
  • Work closely with designers, facilities department, purchasing, manufacturers, contractors, vendors, and end user departments
  • Punctual, detail oriented dependable & thorough
  • Excellent Teamwork skills & willingness to take on more responsibilities as experience evolves.
  • Staying updated with drafting software
  • Additional knowledge of 3D modeling, SketchUp and P-Shop.
