Position Overview
The Assistant Pastry Chef supports the Head Pastry Chef in preparing, baking, and presenting high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods. This role requires creativity, precision, and a passion for pastry arts, along with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing and baking pastries, cakes, breads, and desserts.
- Follow recipes and instructions to ensure consistency and quality.
- Decorate and present pastries in an appealing and professional manner.
- Support the Head Pastry Chef in menu development and new recipe creation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry kitchen.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering ingredients and supplies.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to meet production schedules and customer demands.
- Provide training and guidance to junior pastry staff when required.

Qualifications

- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a pastry kitchen.
- Experience in hotels, restaurants, or catering establishments is an advantage.
- Passion for pastry arts and willingness to learn and grow.
