Assistant Production Manager

B&H Surgical Instruments is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Production Manager to support daily manufacturing operations and ensure smooth, efficient production of high-quality surgical instruments. The ideal candidate will work closely with the production manager to maintain quality standards, meet production targets, and improve workflow efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, coordinating, and monitoring daily production activities
• Support production schedules to ensure timely order completion
• Supervise shop floor operations and guide production staff as needed
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and manufacturing procedures
• Coordinate with quality control, warehouse, and export departments
• Help manage raw material usage and minimize production waste
• Prepare production reports and update management on progress
• Support implementation of process improvements and efficiency initiatives
• Ensure workplace safety and proper use of tools and machinery

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Production Management, Engineering, or a related field
• 2–4 years of experience in manufacturing (surgical instruments or medical devices preferred)
• Strong understanding of production processes and quality control standards
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Skills

• Experience in surgical instruments manufacturing
• Knowledge of ISO standards and quality systems
• Familiarity with export-oriented production environments
• Basic computer skills (MS Excel, reporting tools)
