The Purchase Manager will be responsible for managing end-to-end procurement of raw materials, consumables, machinery spares, and packaging materials required for cello tape manufacturing. The role ensures timely, cost-effective, and quality-compliant sourcing while strengthening vendor relationships and optimizing the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities Strategic Procurement

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with production schedules and inventory policies.
• Source and negotiate with suppliers for key materials such as BOPP film, adhesives, release liners, cores, and packaging materials.

Vendor Development & Management

• Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers.
• Build long-term vendor partnerships ensuring competitive pricing, quality consistency, and reliable delivery.
• Monitor vendor performance (cost, quality, lead time, service levels).

Purchase Order Management

• Issue purchase orders based on MRP planning.
• Ensure timely order confirmation, dispatch, and delivery.
• Coordinate with Stores and Accounts teams for GRN and invoice verification.

Cost Control & Negotiation

• Achieve cost savings through strong negotiation and bulk purchasing strategies.
• Monitor market trends and raw material price fluctuations.

Inventory & Cross-Functional Coordination

• Work closely with Production, PPC, Stores, and Finance teams.
• Maintain optimum inventory levels to avoid production delays.

Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and GST norms.
• Maintain proper documentation of contracts, purchase orders, and supplier records.

Reporting & MIS

• Prepare MIS reports on procurement status, savings, and supplier performance.
• Analyse spend data to identify cost optimization opportunities.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce / Supply Chain / Relevant Field.
• PG Diploma in Materials Management preferred.
• 15+ years of procurement experience in manufacturing.
• Experience in tape, packaging, or adhesive industry preferred.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / Tally).
• Strong MS Excel and analytical skills.
