As IHG Hotels & Resorts continues its strategic growth in Qatar, we are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Purchasing Manager to manage the procurement function and ensure the timely sourcing of goods and services at competitive prices while maintaining quality standards and compliance with company policies.

A little taste of your day-to-day

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

  • Manage daily purchasing operations for all departments
  • Source and procure goods and services in line with approved specifications and budgets
  • Coordinate with suppliers, negotiate pricing, and ensure timely delivery
  • Monitor inventory levels and support stock control processes
  • Ensure compliance with purchasing policies, procedures, and audit requirements
  • Review purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and supplier invoices
  • Lead cost control initiatives and budget management
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records and prepare reports
  • Liaise closely with Finance, Operations, and Stores teams

What we need from you

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Hospitality Management, or related field preferred
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in hospitality
  • Strong knowledge of procurement systems and inventory management
  • Good negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
