Overview
Phaedra Solutions is seeking a motivated and goal-oriented Associate Business Developer to join our team. This position is suitable for individuals with up to one year of experience in business development. In this role, you will support client outreach, lead generation, pipeline management, proposal preparation, and cross-functional coordination to help drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Generation & Prospecting

  • Identify and research potential clients using online resources, industry platforms, and social channels.
  • Generate relevant leads through marketplaces such as Upwork and Fiverr, as well as through email outreach, LinkedIn, cold calling, and events.
  • Maintain an updated database of prospects for ongoing follow-ups.

Client Outreach & Communication

  • Initiate communication with potential clients and maintain professional relationships.
  • Develop rapport and build trust with prospects to support long-term engagement.
  • Prepare proposals, follow-up emails, and sales presentation materials.

Sales Pipeline & CRM Management

  • Record client interactions and sales activities in the CRM system.
  • Track opportunities, analyze progress, and share pipeline updates with management.
  • Ensure all documentation related to leads and deals is complete and accurate.

Meetings & Presentations

  • Coordinate and schedule meetings with clients.
  • Develop agendas, decks, and other supporting materials for presentations.
  • Assist senior team members during negotiation and discussion sessions.

Business Research & Market Analysis

  • Conduct research on competitors, industry trends, and potential market opportunities.
  • Provide insights that support business strategies and new market penetration.
  • Analyze industry data to help refine sales goals and decision-making.

Proposal & Documentation Support

  • Assist in preparing proposals, RFQs, and RFP responses.
  • Work with technical and marketing teams to create customized sales materials.
  • Maintain and update templates for proposals and related documentation.

AI Tools & Process Automation

  • Use AI-based tools to streamline outreach, personalize communication, and manage lead nurturing.
  • Utilize productivity and automation tools for reporting, analytics, and engagement.

Collaboration & Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Collaborate with marketing to align campaigns with sales plans.
  • Work with technical teams to ensure accurate understanding of client needs.
  • Support administrative tasks and operational activities within the business development function.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, or a related field.
  • Certifications in sales, marketing, or business development are advantageous.

Required Skills

  • Strong communication abilities in both written and spoken English.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with CRM platforms such as GHL or ClickUp is preferred.
  • Familiarity with AI tools, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and automation software.
  • Understanding of sales processes, funnels, and client engagement methods.
  • Confident negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Strong research and analytical capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.

Experience

  • 6 months to 1 year of experience in business development, sales, or client relations.
  • Internship or academic project experience in sales or marketing will also be considered.
