Associate Director – Investor Relations & Business Development | Global Investment Platform (UAE / Mumbai)


A fast-growing, boutique investment and advisory platform (current AUM ~USD 800M, with a clear roadmap toward USD 2B+) is looking to hire an Associate Director – Investor Relations & Business Development to lead client engagement and growth across global investors, with a strong India-linked product suite.


The firm operates a multi-jurisdiction structure across Abu Dhabi (ADGM), Dubai (DMCC), Mauritius, Singapore and Mumbai, offering access to India-focused public and private market opportunities for families and institutions worldwide.


Role overview


This is a hybrid Investor Relations + Business Development leadership role responsible for:

  • Deepening relationships with existing investors (HNIs, family offices, institutions).
  • Originating and closing new client relationships in line with the platform’s AUM growth strategy.
  • Acting as a strategic bridge between investors, investment teams and operations.


You will work closely with the Founder, ADGM leadership and product teams to position differentiated India-linked strategies and co-investment opportunities to global capital.


Key responsibilities

  • Serve as primary point of contact for existing investors, ensuring timely, transparent and high-quality communication.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with institutional investors, fund managers, distributors and key ecosystem partners.
  • Coordinate investor reporting, periodic updates, presentations and review calls, ensuring alignment with regulatory and compliance standards.
  • Respond to investor queries on performance, strategy, risk and operational aspects, liaising with investment and finance teams as needed.
  • Identify, pursue and convert new business opportunities across target geographies (Middle East, Asia, Europe and beyond).
  • Collaborate with marketing and operations to craft pitch materials, product decks and bespoke proposals.
  • Conduct market and competitor research to refine target segments, channels and product positioning.
  • Support negotiations, onboarding and handover of new clients, ensuring a smooth client experience.


Ideal candidate profile

  • 7–12 years of experience in investor relations, capital raising, business development or client coverage within asset management, fund administration, private banking or broader financial services.
  • Strong understanding of investment products (funds, managed accounts, co-investments) and comfort discussing performance and risk with sophisticated investors.
  • Demonstrated track record of building and growing relationships with HNIs, family offices and/or institutional investors.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related; MBA or CFA preferred.
  • Confident communicator, capable of representing a boutique but institutionally robust platform to global stakeholders.
  • Self-driven, results-oriented and comfortable working in a lean, founder-led, cross-border environment.
  • Strong presentation and storytelling ability, with an instinct for both relationship depth and commercial outcomes.


Location & set-up

  • Primary base: UAE (Abu Dhabi / Dubai) or Mumbai, with frequent interaction across all group entities.
  • Close collaboration with the leadership team, product specialists and external partners across multiple time zones.
