The PMO Associate supports the Project Management Office in ensuring successful project governance, tracking, reporting, and delivery. This role assists project managers, monitors compliance with PMO standards, and contributes to the overall improvement of project management practices within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the PMO in the planning, execution, and monitoring of projects.
- Maintain project documentation, including status reports, risk registers, and project plans.
- Assist in developing and enforcing PMO methodologies, processes, and templates.
- Consolidate and prepare project performance reports for leadership review.
- Track project progress, risks, issues, and dependencies across the portfolio.
- Facilitate project review meetings, taking minutes and following up on action items.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
- Assist in resource allocation, scheduling, and workload tracking.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the PMO.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Information Technology, or related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in project coordination, PMO, or a similar role.
- Basic understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid).
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Asana).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to multitask and work under minimal supervision.
Preferred:
- Certification in project management (e.g., CAPM, Prince2 Foundation, Agile fundamentals).
- Experience in reporting and dashboard creation (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
