Attorney

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Attorney (admitted 1-5 years) to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in matrimonial/family law. This position requires legal research capabilities and the ability to draft legal documents effectively.

Duties

• Represent clients in court proceedings and negotiations.
• Conduct thorough legal research utilizing tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw.
• Draft legal documents including pleadings and motions.
• Assist with litigation processes from initial filing through trial preparation.
• Engage in negotiations on behalf of clients to reach favorable settlements.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff within the law office to ensure comprehensive client service.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the NYS bar.
• Strong knowledge of matrimonial & family law.
• Proven experience in legal drafting and writing skills.
• Familiarity with legal administrative processes within a law office setting.
• Excellent research skills with proficiency in using legal research databases such as LexisNexis and Westlaw.
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to advocate effectively for clients.
• Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
