Attorney/Lawyer

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Commercial Contracts Attorney to join our legal team in an on-site capacity. This role supports the entire contract lifecycle for a dynamic and mission-driven health services organization. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in healthcare and IT-related contracts and must be licensed to practice law in the State of New York.

This is a highly collaborative and engaging role, requiring close partnership with cross-functional teams and senior-level stakeholders across the organization. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional presentation, problem-solving, writing, and interpersonal skills, along with a keen attention to detail.

Job Title: Contracts Attorney (Hybrid)

Location: New York, NY (Downtown/Tribeca)

Schedule: Hybrid – 4 Days Onsite (Monday–Thursday) (Friday- Remote)

Duration: 6+ months (w/ potential to extend)

Pay Rate: $90+/Hour

Key Responsibilities:

·        Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a wide range of commercial agreements, including:

·        Vendor and supplier contracts

·        IT and software licensing agreements

·        Professional services agreements

·        Business associate agreements (BAAs)

·        Managed services and outsourcing contracts

·        Provide legal guidance throughout the contract lifecycle, from initiation through execution and renewal/termination.

·        Collaborate closely with internal business units, including procurement, compliance, IT, and operations, to align contracts with strategic and operational goals.

·        Engage with senior leadership and business stakeholders to support complex negotiations and strategic initiatives.

·        Identify and mitigate legal and business risks in contractual arrangements.

·        Maintain and improve contract templates, playbooks, and processes.

·        Ensure compliance with applicable healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, Stark Law, and the Anti-Kickback Statute.

• ·        Support contract audits, due diligence, and internal process improvements.

Qualifications:

1. Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
2. Active license to practice law in New York State (required).
3. 3–7 years of relevant experience in commercial contracts, preferably within the healthcare or health IT sectors.
4. Strong understanding of healthcare regulatory frameworks and data privacy laws.
5. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced, and stakeholder-facing environment.
6. Excellent presentation, writing, and problem-solving skills.
7. High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
8. Experience with contract lifecycle management (CLM) systems is a plus.
