Audit Executive

Karachi, Pakistan

Job Purpose:

The Audit Executive is responsible for assisting in planning, executing, and reporting internal audits to ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and internal controls. The role supports risk management, efficiency improvements, and financial accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and execution of the internal audit plan.
  • Conduct financial, operational, and compliance audits in line with approved audit programs.
  • Review internal controls, business processes, and procedures for effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Identify gaps, weaknesses, and risks in processes and recommend corrective actions.
  • Prepare clear, concise, and well-documented working papers and audit reports.
  • Follow up on the implementation of audit recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
  • Support external auditors by providing requested documents and explanations.
  • Maintain confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive financial and operational information.
  • Stay updated with industry best practices, risk management techniques, and auditing standards.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field (CA, ACCA, CIA, or equivalent certification preferred).
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in auditing or accounting (fresh graduates may be considered for junior roles).
  • Strong knowledge of auditing standards, internal controls, and risk assessment techniques.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with audit software is an advantage.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong communication and report-writing abilities.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
