Authority EngineerDuties & Responsibilities
- Coordinate with local authorities and statutory bodies to obtain design approvals, and permits.
- Review project designs and submissions to ensure compliance with authority regulations, codes, and standards.
- Prepare, submit, and track authority applications, drawings, and technical documents.
- Liaise with design consultants, contractors, and project teams to address authority comments.
- Attend meetings, inspections, and site visits with authority representatives.
- Monitor approval status and ensure approvals are obtained in line with the project programme.
- Maintain records of submissions, approvals, and correspondence with authorities.
- Provide guidance to the project team on authority requirements and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, or related discipline).
- Experience dealing with local authorities and statutory approvals on construction projects.
- 5 to 10 years of experience
- Arabic Speaker
- Strong knowledge of local codes, regulations, and permitting processes.
- Ability to coordinate across multidisciplinary design and construction teams.
- Excellent communication and follow-up skills.
- Proficient in documentation control and authority submission procedures.
