1. Vehicle Diagnostics & Repairs
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults using diagnostic tools and software.
- Perform repairs on engines, transmissions, brake systems, suspensions, steering, cooling systems, and drivetrains.
- Conduct troubleshooting on hydraulic and pneumatic systems (for heavy vehicles).
- Repair or replace faulty vehicle parts, components, and assemblies.
2. Preventive & Corrective Maintenance
- Carry out routine servicing and preventive maintenance for heavy and light vehicles.
- Perform lubrication, oil changes, filter replacements, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
- Ensure proper adjustment and calibration of vehicle systems after maintenance.
3. Inspection & Testing
- Conduct road tests to verify the effectiveness of repairs.
- Inspect vehicles for safety compliance and operational readiness.
- Identify worn-out parts and recommend replacement.
4. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, service hours, and work completed.
- Prepare technical reports and update maintenance logs.
- Communicate repair status to supervisors and advise on vehicle condition.
5. Tools, Equipment & Safety
- Use hand tools, power tools, diagnostic scanners, and workshop equipment safely and effectively.
- Adhere to company and industry safety standards (PPE, hazardous materials handling).
- Maintain a clean and organized workshop environment.
6. Additional Responsibilities
- Assist in emergency breakdown repairs (on-site or roadside).
- Support inventory management of spare parts and workshop materials.
- Train junior technicians or apprentices when required.
