About this Opportunity
This role is based in the Lloyds Technology Centre (LTC) and operates as a service provider to the UK business team. While the activities and responsibilities of the role holder can be assignment managed (i.e. day to day task direction) as the business team requires, the role holder remains an LTC colleague, and their line management remains in LTC.
As the Automation and AI Manager, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality analytics, automation and AI solutions. The role is hands-on, focusing on complex analytics, data visualisation and automation to support the requirements of the UK Payments Performance Office (PPO) team within Group Payments.

What You’ll Do
- Lead and support the delivery of automation and AI initiatives to support business strategy.
- Use AL/ML tools and platforms to automate workflows, processes and controls as per business requirements.
- Use advanced analytics and data visualisation tools to build compelling narratives and support decision-making.
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy in all work, maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance processes and tools
- Communicate technical results clearly to a broad audience and work effectively across various teams.
- Manage projects independently, demonstrating strong time management and the ability to deliver results under pressure.
What You’ll Need
- Proven experience in a data analytics and automation role, with hands-on expertise in delivering complex analytics and process automation.
- Expertise in data analytics tools (e.g. SQL, Python), data visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau), platforms (e.g. GCP, BigQuery, Azure), low-code/no-code platforms (e.g. PowerApps, Power Automate, CoPilot Studio), AI/ML frameworks and tools and Agentic AI tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels (across technical and non-technical teams).
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines without compromising quality.
- Understanding of financial services and payments business is preferable but not essential.
