Service Engineer diagnoses, repairs, installs, and maintains technical equipment and machinery for customers, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing downtime. They provide on-site or remote technical support, conduct preventative maintenance, train users, and maintain service records. Key responsibilities include troubleshooting, managing, and repairing electrical or mechanical systems.
Key ResponsibilitiesMaintenance & Repair: Perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and repair equipment to ensure efficiency.Installation: Install, calibrate, and commission new machinery at client sites.Customer Support: Act as the primary technical point of contact, offering on-site or remote support and training customers on safe equipment operation.Documentation: Maintain detailed records of service calls, repairs, and maintenance activities.Technical Advice: Offer recommendations for product improvements, upgrades, and spare parts inventory
management.Safety Compliance: Ensure all work complies with company and government safety regulations. Required Skills and QualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) or relevant technical certification.Experience: Prior experience in service engineering, field service, or technical support roles.Technical Skills: Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and repair abilities with mechanical or electrical systems.Soft Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.Physical/Logistical: Ability to travel to client sites and work in industrial environments.
