Azure Infrastructure Engineer

We are seeking a Senior/Principal Azure Infrastructure Engineer to join our Cloud Consulting Practice. In this role, you will partner with diverse clients to design, implement, and optimize Azure environments that support their digital transformation goals. As a senior technical leader, you will combine deep expertise in Microsoft Azure with consulting acumen—translating business requirements into scalable, cost-effective, and secure cloud solutions.

You will play a visible role in client engagements, thought leadership, and mentoring consultants while ensuring delivery excellence and lasting client value.

Responsibilities

• Lead client engagements to assess current infrastructures, define cloud strategies, and architect Azure solutions tailored to business objectives.
• Design and implement highly available, secure, and compliant Azure environments across IaaS, PaaS, and hybrid scenarios.
• Build automation frameworks for deployment and management using Terraform, Bicep, and Azure DevOps pipelines.
• Deliver infrastructure modernization projects, including migrations, governance frameworks, and landing zones.
• Engage directly with client executives, architects, and technical teams to communicate solutions and recommendations.
• Develop cloud adoption roadmaps and assist clients in operationalizing Azure environments with strong governance and cost management.
• Act as a trusted advisor on Azure best practices, security, and architecture patterns.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (cloud security, data, DevOps) to deliver complete cloud transformation initiatives.
• Mentor consultants and engineers to build internal capability and strengthen client delivery teams.
• Contribute to pre-sales, proposals, and thought leadership activities such as whitepapers, webinars, and client workshops.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years in IT infrastructure, including 5+ years focused on Azure architecture and deployment.
• Proven experience implementing Azure solutions across multiple clients or environments.
• Strong consulting background or experience in a professional services firm.
• Expertise in Azure networking, governance, identity (EntraID), security, and cost management.
• Proficiency in infrastructure automation and configuration tools (Terraform, Bicep, PowerShell, GitHub Actions).
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred:

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Cloud Security Engineer Associate.
• Experience with cloud migration projects, landing zone deployments, and hybrid integration.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (AKS, Docker) and DevOps practices.
• Background in designing solutions for regulated industries (finance, healthcare, public sector).
• Demonstrated thought leadership (e.g., presenting at conferences or publishing cloud content).
