Job Summary
Lumiere Sweets & Pastries is seeking a skilled and passionate Bakery Chef to join our production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality bakery products while maintaining consistency, hygiene standards, and production efficiency in line with company recipes and quality expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake a wide range of bakery products including breads, rolls, croissants, and related items as per company standards.
- Hands on experience required in Plated Desserts, Single Desserts & Sourdough
- Follow standardized recipes, portion controls, and production schedules.
- Ensure consistent product quality, taste, texture, and presentation.
- Operate and maintain bakery equipment and ovens safely and efficiently.
- Maintain strict compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
- Monitor stock levels and report raw material requirements to the supervisor.
- Minimize wastage and follow proper storage and handling procedures.
- Support new product trials and seasonal menu introductions when required.
- Coordinate with pastry, production, and quality teams to meet daily targets.
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, tools, and storage areas at all times.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Bakery Chef or Baker in a professional bakery, pastry shop, or production kitchen.
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and bakery processes.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment.
- Understanding of food safety standards (HACCP knowledge is an advantage).
- Good time management and attention to detail.
- Team player with a positive and professional attitude.
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
