Barista/Cashier

Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team in creating exceptional coffee experiences for our customers. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, providing outstanding customer service, and maintaining a clean and inviting café environment. Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and standards.
• Operate the Aloha POS or Micros POS systems efficiently for order processing and cash handling.
• Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and equipment.
• Adhere to food safety guidelines and ensure compliance with health regulations during food handling and preparation.
• Assist with inventory management, including restocking supplies and reporting low inventory levels.
• Demonstrate time management skills by efficiently managing multiple tasks during peak hours.
• Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment that fosters teamwork and communication.

Qualifications

• Previous barista experience or background in the food service industry is preferred.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
• Familiarity with coffee preparation techniques and knowledge of different coffee types is an advantage.
• Proficient in basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations.
• Experience using POS systems such as Aloha or Micros is desirable.
• Ability to handle food safely, ensuring compliance with all health regulations.
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a busy environment.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.90 - $20.00 per hour
