Yawning Cobra, a hidden speakeasy-style cocktail bar with two Manhattan locations in NoHo and Midtown, is seeking passionate and skilled Bartenders to join our team. Tucked behind unmarked doors, each Yawning Cobra location offers an immersive and elevated cocktail experience—where refined mixology meets warm hospitality in an intimate setting.

As a Bartender, you are the cornerstone of the Yawning Cobra experience. You’ll craft innovative, high-quality cocktails that elevate the senses and leave lasting impressions. In both of our sophisticated spaces, you’ll have the opportunity to showcase your creativity, technical skill, and commitment to exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities

• Craft Cocktails: Prepare Yawning Cobra’s signature and classic cocktails with precision, creativity, and consistency.
• Guest Interaction: Provide warm, welcoming service. Offer cocktail recommendations and engage guests with knowledge of ingredients and techniques.
• Bar Setup & Maintenance: Ensure the bar is fully prepped and stocked before service. Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area throughout the shift.
• Inventory Management: Track stock levels, assist with ordering, and manage product rotation to minimize waste.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with barbacks, servers, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth and seamless service.
• Compliance: Adhere to all DOH, food safety, and alcohol service regulations—including ID checks and responsible service.
• Menu Development: Collaborate on seasonal cocktail development and special menu features.
• Customer Service: Handle guest needs and feedback professionally and efficiently, creating memorable experiences.
• Ongoing Education: Stay informed about industry trends, spirits, and bar techniques to continuously grow your skillset.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience: Previous bartending experience in an upscale cocktail bar, speakeasy, or fine dining establishment is required.
• Cocktail Knowledge: Strong understanding of spirits, classic recipes, modern techniques, and flavor balance.
• Hospitality-First: Friendly, polished, and professional demeanor with a passion for guest experience.
• Team Player: Excellent communication and collaborative attitude within a close-knit service team.
• Attention to Detail: Precision in presentation, cleanliness, and execution—especially in high-pressure moments.
• Appearance: Adheres to our dress code of dark colors and polished attire to match the refined setting.
• Physical Stamina: Comfortable standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Adaptability: Ability to remain calm and efficient in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Compensation & Schedule

• Hourly Pay: $16.00 – $20.00 per hour (including tips), based on experience and performance
• Schedule: Evening and weekend availability required
• Typical Shift: 4 PM – 1 AM (varies by location and day)
