CD Top Shelf is a sports bar located inside the Ann Arbor Ice Arena. We serve a strong, family-driven community centered around hockey, figure skating, and local events. Our environment is fast-paced during peak times, but structured, respectful, and team-oriented.

We are looking for a bartender who wants consistency, stability, and a positive work environment not just another shift.

Position Overview

As a Bartender at CD Top Shelf, you are responsible for delivering a great guest experience while efficiently preparing and serving beverages in a clean, organized, and team-first environment.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Experience

• Greet and serve guests in a friendly, professional manner
• Build relationships with regulars from the local sports community
• Create a welcoming and positive atmosphere for all ages

Beverage Service

• Prepare and serve beer, cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages
• Maintain consistency and quality in all drinks
• Manage bar flow efficiently during busy game and event times

Compliance and Safety

• Verify identification and follow all Michigan Liquor Control Commission regulations
• Serve alcohol responsibly and professionally
• Maintain a clean and sanitary bar area

Operations

• Use Toast POS to process orders accurately
• Handle cash and card transactions responsibly
• Assist with stocking, cleaning, and daily setup or breakdown

Teamwork

• Work closely with kitchen and staff to keep operations smooth
• Communicate clearly and support team members during busy periods
• Contribute to a positive, no-drama workplace

Qualifications

• Bartending or restaurant experience preferred, but not required
• Strong work ethic and reliability are essential
• Ability to stay organized and efficient in a fast-paced setting
• Positive attitude and team-first mindset
• Availability for nights, weekends, and event-based shifts
