Bartender/Server

The Drink at Lakewood is looking for seasonal staff for the summer with potential for permanent staff. It's a fast-paced work environment with very loyal patrons. The seasonal job would run from May to September and we can offer from 15-40 hours per week. We're a riverside bar in summertime so expect us to be very busy. We also host quite a few events and bands. The Drink is looking for workers for the summer season with or without prior bartending experience. We need applicants to be available all weekend nights as that's when we are the busiest. The applicants should be able to work outside in our patio area, and prepare limited amount of food in our kitchen We will provide training for pouring drinks/serving and cooking. Starting wage is $7.50+ DOE plus great tips.

Responsibilities

• Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons
• Interact with customers, take orders and serve snacks and drinks
• Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
• Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails
• Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
• Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
• Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
• Comply with all food and beverage regulations

Skills

• Resume and proven working experience as a bartender (preferred but not required)
• knowledge of in mixing, garnishing and serving drinks
• Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
• Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean
• Relevant training certificate (not required)

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary

Pay: $7.50 - $10.00 per hour
