Billing Executive

Karachi, Pakistan

We are looking for a detail-oriented Billing Executive who will manage all aspects of the invoicing/Billing process, from creating accurate bills based on production and delivery data to resolving payment discrepancies, this role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles.

Responsibilities:

Invoice creation: Generate and distribute accurate and timely invoices for goods and services.

Data validation: Cross-reference customer contracts, purchase orders, shipping documents, and delivery manifests to ensure accurate billing details.

Discrepancy resolution: Investigate and resolve billing issues and discrepancies by working with customers, sales, operations, and relevant accounts department.

Customer portals: Submit invoices to customers using a variety of methods, including electronic submission via web portals or mail.

Payment processing: Apply incoming cash receipts and process credit card payments.

Credit memos: Issue credit memos for returned materials and other necessary adjustments.

Reporting: Prepare and distribute billing reports, such as open order reports, for management and other teams.

Process improvement: Proactively identify operational inefficiencies and suggest improvements to the billing process.

Month-end closing: Assist with month-end closing procedures to ensure all billing is finalized on time.

Document management: Maintain proper records and files of all billing documents for auditing purposes.

Required skills and qualifications:

Billing experience: At least 5 years of experience in a billing or similar role, preferably within a manufacturing distribution, or chemical-related industry.

Educational background: A bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is mandatory.

Software proficiency: Strong computer skills, including expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems is highly desired.

Attention to detail: A high degree of accuracy and a meticulous approach to financial data is critical.

Communication skills: Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for corresponding with customers and collaborating with internal teams.

Problem-solving: The ability to analyze data, identify issues, and develop effective solutions.
