Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly detail-oriented BIM Modeller with strong capability in architectural, structural, and MEP modelling. The role requires a minimum of 8 years of professional experience in BIM modelling, drafting, and coordinated drawing production, with advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing accurate, coordinated, and technically sound 3D models and drawing packages across multiple disciplines. This role requires a person with strong technical understanding, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to create, manage, and maintain high-quality Revit families and project models in line with project and company standards.
Experience in visualization and presentation modelling will be considered an advantage, but the core requirement is strong technical BIM production capability and disciplined model development.
Key Responsibilities
The BIM Modeller will be responsible for the preparation, development, coordination, and revision of BIM models and drawings for architectural, structural, and MEP systems. The role includes translating design information into accurate digital models and detailed documentation suitable for design development, coordination, approvals, quantity support, and construction documentation.
The BIM Modeller will:
- Develop and maintain architectural, structural, and MEP Revit models to a high technical standard.
- Produce 2D drawings, detailed plans, sections, elevations, schedules, and construction documentation from BIM models.
- Ensure models and drawings are accurate, coordinated, and aligned with design intent, project requirements, and applicable standards.
- Create, modify, and manage parametric Revit families, components, templates, and libraries.
- Support multidisciplinary coordination by identifying and resolving modelling inconsistencies, clashes, and documentation issues.
- Work closely with architects, engineers, and project teams to integrate design updates into the model in a controlled and timely manner.
- Maintain proper model structure, naming conventions, view templates, worksets, shared coordinates, and documentation standards.
- Review drawings and models for completeness, accuracy, constructability, and consistency before issue.
- Assist in the preparation of BIM deliverables for design, tender, authority submission, and construction stages.
- Participate in model coordination meetings and incorporate agreed actions into updated model outputs.
- Ensure that all BIM content developed is practical, buildable, and suitable for project use.
- Support extraction of schedules, quantities, and model-based information where required.
- Maintain organized digital records of model versions, revisions, and issued documentation.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of BIM standards, workflows, libraries, and drafting quality across the organization.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma or Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Building Design, MEP Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years of professional experience in BIM modelling, drafting, and technical documentation.
- Demonstrated experience in architectural, structural, and MEP modelling.
- Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit is mandatory.
- Strong experience in producing detailed and accurate technical drawings and coordinated model outputs.
- Proven ability to create and manage Revit families to suit project and company requirements.
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, design detailing, and multidisciplinary coordination.
- Experience working on medium to large-scale building projects is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of BIM workflows, drawing standards, and coordinated project documentation practices.
