The role will be a part of the Close and Control (C&C) Global Process Owner (GPO) team with a focus on deployment of Smart Close solutions in C&C space across all Business Units in GSK.

You will be accountable to drive the design, deployment and adoption of Smart Close solution to orchestrate and automate Period End Close (PEC) activities. You will ensure the consistency of Smart Close template across business unities to maintain 60/20/20/20 model (Global/Regional/Local activities). You will assess and articulate business requirements, analyze design options, seek and assess simplification opportunities where business case exists. You will drive the business towards common, standardized global and automated processes.

The role will be part of C&C GPO, cooperating closely with the Finance HUB’s C&C team, C&C GPO, GP&T, FRMC and other business and support functions.

Role description:

  • Develop & run Blackline Smart Close Template Governance & integrity maintenance. Drive adoption of 60/20/20 model to ensure effective template design

  • Partner with GSK Ops Transformation Lead & C&C Hub Leads to identify automation opportunities on local and global level. Capture, review, prioritize and ensure delivery of automation agenda

  • Partner with C&C GPO PEC Process Owner to ensure robust PEC process design and adoption across organization

  • Develop and present (or support the presentation of) proposed Blackline’s solution template change to the relevant governance bodies for review and approval

  • Ensure that global Blackline’s solution template documentation (i.e. GSOPs and BPSDs) is accurate and up-to-date

  • Own Smart Close health measures (performance, integrity, controls, effort savings vs manual way of working)

  • Build external network, including supplier & other Blackline’s customers, to monitor market trends, leverage best practices and benchmark solutions

  • Spread the knowledge and best practices across the HUBs and Blackline users

Qualification & Skills:

  • Master’s degree in finance/finance Analysis/IT or a related field, with experience in Smart Close deployment and R2R/Controlling processes as an asset.

  • Fluent English (minimum C1).

  • Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel), SAP ECC, S/4Hana, FC, and tools for process checks, report creation, and data extraction.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, continuous improvement mindset, and experience in root cause analysis within SOX/audit environments.

  • Project framework certification (PMI, Prince, Agile) and familiarity with audit and compliance standards as an advantage.

  • Solid understanding of systems and process optimization, with a focus on data-driven decision-making and stakeholder collaboration
