Bookkeeper

Job Overview
We are a growing small business seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to manage our day-to-day financial transactions. This is a remote, part-time position ideal for someone who is highly organized, proactive, and experienced with bookkeeping best practices.

This is a work-from-home position but may require occasional in-person meetings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks Online
  • Record day-to-day financial transactions, including purchases, receipts, and payments
  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements on a regular basis
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Prepare and send invoices; follow up on outstanding payments
  • Process payroll or coordinate with payroll providers (if applicable)
  • Generate monthly financial reports (profit & loss, balance sheet, cash flow)
  • Assist with budgeting and expense tracking
  • Prepare documentation for tax filing and work with external accountants as needed
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role (2+ years)
  • Required: Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online
  • Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles
  • Experience with bank reconciliations and financial reporting
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work productively from home.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with small businesses
  • Familiarity with payroll processing and sales tax filings
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred but not required)

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
