Bookkeeper
Full-time, M-F 8:30-4:30pm, on-site
Artesian Homes, Inc. is a Minnesota-based healthcare and human services provider that delivers adult foster care and community-based support services to individuals with mental health conditions and developmental disabilities. The organization specializes in creating safe, home-like environments and offers a range of services—including residential care, independent living supports, and crisis stabilization—designed to promote independence, stability, and overall well-being. Job Summary: The Bookkeeper is primarily responsible for recording and maintaining Artesian Homes’ daily financial transactions. Their duties include checking accounting records for accuracy, tracking invoices and payments and maintaining a system for organizing company documents.
Qualifications:
- Will be 18 years of age or older, have a clear background check
- AAS degree in accounting or finance (at minimum) –required
- Extremely organized
- Attention to detail
- Ability to meet deadlines and maintains good time management
- Ability to prioritize tasks
- Excellent data entry skills
- Proficient in computers: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience using technology including: telephones, scanners, printers, and computers
- Experience with QuickBooks preferred.
Chain of Command: The Bookkeeper reports to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Job Responsibilities (In addition to the KRAs):
- Track and manage financial data
- Manage financial transactions, receipts, and budgets for Artesian Homes.
- Complete AP/AR
- Manage rent invoices and billing
- Complete bi-weekly payroll
- Manage employee deductions
- Bookkeeping duties as assigned by the CFO
- Provide tech support to the company
- Assist with processing all worker’s compensation claims including record keeping
- Assist with benefit enrollments
- Manage/track vehicle inventory and equipment
- Manage Artesian Homes’ utilities
- Coordinate and manage office vendors
- Abide by all Artesian Homes policies and procedures
- Represent Artesian Homes, both within and outside the organization, in a manner that promotes the Mission, Vision, Values and Goals
- Undertake any additional tasks and initiatives as assigned by the Human Resource Director and/or Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
