Box Office Ticket Seller | Part-Time | Ford Wyoming Center

Position Summary:
The Box Office Ticket Seller works under supervision of the Box Office Supervisors, assist guests in purchasing tickets, resolve guest issues in accessing digital tickets, answer event questions, all while providing excellent customer service.

This role pays an hourly rate of $12.00-$15.00.

About the Venue:
Formerly the Casper Events Center, the venue was renamed to the Ford Wyoming Center in January 2021. The Center is a 28,000-square-foot multi-purpose facility, built high on a hill overlooking the city of Casper, Casper Mountain, and the scenic Platte River Valley. Funded entirely by the City’s portion of an optional 1% sales tax, the venue opened on April 17, 1982. The arena features a horseshoe-shaped seating bowl with 8,000 seats.

The Ford Wyoming Center hosts a variety of different events each year, including concerts, sporting events, family shows, trade shows, competitions, religious services, bull-riding competitions, commencement ceremonies, lectures, and political rallies, among other corporate and community events. The arena is host to the Wyoming High School Basketball, Volleyball, and Wrestling Tournaments, the Wyoming High School Art Symposium, Wyoming High School Marching Band Competition, and Wyoming High School Spirit and Cheer Competition. The venue has been home of the College National Finals Rodeo each June since 2001.
Responsibilities:
  • Know and understand the operations of the Ticketmaster system.
  • Familiarize yourself with each event (ticket prices, discounts, restrictions, reserved or general admission seating.
  • Know and understand seating charts and configurations.
  • Perform transactions for all events on the ticketing system with efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collect proper currency or credit card amount for purchase of ticket(s) as well as give back proper number of tickets and correct change.
  • Communicate and satisfy patrons with world class customer service.
  • Operate phone and address call in patrons’ request for information.
  • Reconcile all monies received from ticket sales.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Additional duties may be assigned by Box Office Director or Box Office Supervisor.
Qualifications:
  • Ability to multitask in a fast‐paced environment.
  • Familiarity with Windows-based computers.
  • Possess excellent customer service skills.
  • Experience working with the public and cash.
  • Ability to work independently and as a productive member of a team.
  • Capable of working a flexible schedule and extended hours, including but not limited to working early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays, in addition to traditional business hours.
  • Proven ability to work well with all levels of management.
  • Strong analytical and problem‐solving skills.
