BRANCH MANAGER - UPSCALE SPECIALTY COFFEE SHOP & RESTAURANT

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Branch Manager to lead the daily operations of our upscale coffee shop and restaurant in Qatar. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of restaurant financials, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences while driving operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of daily branch operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team to achieve operational and financial goals.
  • Manage branch profitability through effective control of costs, labor, inventory, and expenses.
  • Monitor and analyze Profit & Loss (P&L) statements and implement corrective actions to improve financial performance.
  • Control food, beverage, and operational wastage while maintaining acceptable variance levels.
  • Develop and manage staff schedules to optimize labor productivity and service standards.
  • Establish, monitor, and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) for individuals and teams.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, hygiene standards, and hazard prevention procedures.
  • Conduct regular inventory counts and implement inventory control measures.
  • Handle customer feedback and resolve issues promptly to maintain exceptional guest satisfaction.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and brand standards.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, and succession planning initiatives.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a Branch Manager, Restaurant Manager, Café Manager, or similar leadership role within hospitality, restaurants, cafés, or food & beverage operations.

  • Cost Control & Budgeting
  • Wastage & Variance Management
  • Inventory Management
  • Staff Scheduling & Workforce Planning
  • KPI Development and Performance Evaluation
  • Food Safety Standards and Hazard Control
  • Customer Service Excellence
  • Proven ability to achieve sales targets and operational KPIs.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in POS systems, inventory systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Commercial awareness and business acumen.
  • Ability to drive revenue growth while maintaining operational efficiency.
  • Experience in upscale dining, premium cafés, or high-volume restaurant operations is highly desirable.
