Business Analyst

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Business Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between IT and the business, utilizing data-driven insights to inform strategic decisions. You will be responsible for analyzing business processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions that enhance efficiency and effectiveness across the organization.

Duties

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
• Conduct thorough analysis of business processes, workflows, and systems to identify opportunities for optimization.
• Utilize data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and Looker to present findings and insights effectively.
• Engage in project management activities, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and meet quality standards.
• Participate in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) by providing input during all phases of development.
• Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) using tools like Talend and SQL.
• Develop and maintain databases using Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and other database management systems.
• Utilize programming languages such as Python and R for data analysis tasks.
• Create detailed documentation including process maps using Visio to support project initiatives.
• Employ Agile methodologies to facilitate iterative development processes.

Skills

• Proficient in data analysis skills with experience in SQL for querying databases.
• Strong knowledge of Agile project management principles and practices.
• Familiarity with database design concepts and best practices.
• Experience with analytics tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, and Excel (including VBA).
• Understanding of ETL processes and tools like Talend.
• Ability to write scripts using Bash (Unix shell) for automation tasks.
• Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills to effectively convey complex information to non-technical stakeholders.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $44.00 - $53.00 per hour
