The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency wants you to be our newest data analytics specialist in the Division of Air Pollution Control (DAPC), working at our central office in Columbus.

As Ohio EPA’s data analytics specialist, you’ll coordinate the acquisition, evaluation, and processing of ambient air data using the AirVision software application – including troubleshooting problems experienced by users, helping to ensure data flow continues to meet federal regulations. You will coordinate duties that are associated with AirVision, like interfaces the software has with other systems and acquiring data or documents that are needed from the software by customers.
You will maintain system administrator tables in the software, ensuring accurate data transfers, functionality, and tracking. You are going to collaborate with ITS and users of AirVision for any issues that might come up with software functionality, interfaces with other systems, or equipment including Data Loggers, Air Monitoring Instrumentation and Modems, and help to find resolutions.
You will prepare air monitoring data summaries using Tableu, R. SQL, and other data analytics tools to help synthesize large data sets and prepare reports on monitor performance and monitor data comparisons, and air quality statistics. You will also write an analysis of presented data and produce various graphs and maps that show short- and long-term statistics and geographic trends.
