Key Responsibilities


The Office of Medicaid Operations (OMO) has a vacancy for a Business Analyst position on the Project Team.


This position is needed to manage the additional workload which has increased as a result of the launch of PRISM and process changes. This team manages several special programs such as the Emergency Only Program, Manual Review, and Inmate as well as other critical functions for accurate and timely claims processing. They also provide technical assistance to healthcare providers and Medicaid members to resolve fee-for-service claims issues. Project plan development – defines project scope, organizes, plans, and coordinates assignment of functions. Conducts research, analyzes data and troubleshooting.

Key responsibilities and day to day responsibilities of this position:

  • Work on EOP workloads and Supports the team in reducing EOP workload lead time.
  • Understanding manual review workload and policies.
  • Handle claim adjustments for EOP services and understanding of general claims knowledge as well as other workloads assigned.

  • This position may currently be a hybrid of both in-office and remote work days. Please note, a position's eligibility for remote work is established by agency management and is subject to change at their discretion, at any time, and for any reason.
  • Effective July 1, 2021, State of Utah Employees must either reside in Utah or be in the process of relocating to Utah within 30 days of their start date.

Qualifications


Minimum or "day-one" qualifications:

  • Have knowledge/experience with Medicaid policy and claims processing. Attention to detail and strong interpersonal skills. Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Systems - Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Preferred or trainable/on-the-job qualifications:

  • PRISM, DMP, PEGA knowledge and general Medicaid policy.
