Business analyst (BA)

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders, subject matter experts, and end-users to gather and document business and system requirements.
• Analyze current processes, identify gaps, and recommend improvements based on best practices.
• Translate business needs into detailed functional and technical specifications.
• Support the development team throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC), ensuring alignment with business requirements.
• Assist in user acceptance testing (UAT), including developing test cases, tracking defects, and validating deliverables.
• Act as a liaison between business units and IT, ensuring effective communication and mutual understanding.
• Develop process models, use case diagrams, workflows, and other analysis artifacts as needed.
• Participate in project planning, prioritization, and status reporting.
• Monitor the implementation of new features and evaluate outcomes against original objectives.
• Ensure compliance with organizational standards, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a Business Analyst or similar role.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Experience with documentation tools, process modeling, and Agile or Waterfall methodologies.
• Familiarity with software development processes and technologies.
• Fluency in both Arabic and English is a strong advantage (for bilingual environments).
• Knowledge of higher education systems (e.g., SIS, LMS) is a plus.
