Job Title: Business Analyst III

Location: Austin, TX (Onsite Only)
Duration: 8 Months

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Business Analyst III to support enterprise-level initiatives through advanced analysis, documentation, and business process optimization. The ideal candidate has strong consultative skills, excels at evaluating business systems and user needs, and can provide strategic recommendations to leadership. This role requires extensive experience with business process mapping, requirements gathering, and developing solution options in alignment with organizational goals.

The Business Analyst will work under limited supervision with significant latitude for independent judgment and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and user needs.

  • Formulate business and technical solutions that align with organizational strategies.

  • Conduct business process reengineering, mapping, gap analysis, and efficiency assessments.

  • Prepare cost/benefit analyses, ROI evaluations, risk assessments, and solution recommendations.

  • Document detailed user requirements, program functions, and system workflows.

  • Assess and analyze priority initiatives and special projects across multiple business units.

  • Develop business analysis tools, templates, and best practices.

  • Facilitate meetings with stakeholders to gather and document requirements.

  • Provide detailed reports, findings, and recommendations to executive leadership.

  • Support project teams with SDLC documentation including requirements, design artifacts, test cases, and use cases.

  • Participate in the planning and coordination of operational and program improvements.

  • Lead or support special projects as assigned.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 8+ years of experience researching, gathering, correlating, and analyzing system requirements.

  • 8+ years of experience developing reports that identify functional gaps and operational inefficiencies.

  • 8+ years of experience creating as-is and to-be process models and identifying process improvements.

  • 8+ years of experience analyzing program policies and procedures for system impact.

  • 8+ years of experience partnering with functional teams to understand unmet business and technical needs.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience building strong stakeholder relationships and conducting advanced requirements elicitation.

  • 5+ years of experience developing SDLC documentation such as gap analyses, roadmaps, requirement specs, design documents, test cases, and use cases.

  • 1+ year of UX design experience.
