Business Development Associate (Digital Marketing)

India

The role focuses on researching potential customers, doing light outbound outreach, setting discovery calls, and keeping the CRM organized while learning the agency’s services and pitch. Success is measured by consistent activity, booked meetings, and qualified opportunities handed off to a senior or founder.

Responsibilities

  • Research and build simple lead lists for target local industries and selected international markets using LinkedIn and directories.
  • Send personalized messages and emails, make introductory calls, and book discovery meetings for the senior team.
  • Qualify interest and basic fit, then hand off warm leads with clear notes and next steps.
  • Maintain accurate records in the CRM and keep activities and follow-ups up to date.
  • Coordinate with the team to tailor basic outreach scripts, one-page proposals, and follow-up timelines.

Skills

  • Clear written and verbal communication, active listening, and basic presentation comfort.
  • Organized, consistent with follow-ups, and good time management for daily outreach goals.
  • Coachable and curious with basic understanding of common digital marketing services (SEO, ads, social).
  • Research mindset and comfort using LinkedIn and CRM tools daily.

Tools familiarity

  • CRM: HubSpot or Zoho for tracking leads, notes, and follow-ups.
  • LinkedIn: Core search plus Sales Navigator for targeted prospecting.
  • Email outreach: Snov.io or similar for sequences and personalization at scale.
  • Lead sources: Local listings/directories for nearby businesses and industry lists for global niches.
  • Sales stack awareness: Modern sales software categories (CRM, sequencing, enrichment) to work efficiently.

KPIs (simple and supportive)

  • Daily/weekly outreach volume targets across email, LinkedIn, and calls.
  • Discovery meetings booked for the senior team or founder.
  • Qualified opportunities created and properly handed off with notes in CRM.
  • CRM hygiene: complete data, timely follow-ups, and status updates.

Growth path

Strong performance leads to owning bigger accounts, managing the full sales cycle, and stepping up to BDR/SDR, Business Development Executive, or Account Manager roles over time.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
