Business Development Associate – Logistics

Job Overview

We are looking for a results-oriented Business Development Associate (BD) to support our international logistics and freight forwarding business. This role involves finding new clients, handling inquiries, preparing quotations, and closing logistics deals for air freight, sea freight, and door-to-door services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate new leads through calls, emails, LinkedIn, and Meta platforms
  • Handle inbound inquiries from import and export clients
  • Understand shipment details such as origin, destination, weight, volume, and transport mode
  • Coordinate with operations to get competitive rates and prepare quotations
  • Share quotations with clients, follow up, and close deals
  • Advise clients on logistics solutions including air freight, sea freight, DDP/DDU, and door-to-door services
  • Maintain client records, follow-ups, and sales pipeline using Google Sheets or CRM tools
  • Achieve monthly sales and shipment targets
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with B2B clients

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Good English communication skills (spoken and written)
  • Experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or B2B sales is preferred
  • Ability to negotiate rates and close deals
  • Basic understanding of logistics terms, freight modes, and pricing
  • Comfortable using email, Google Sheets, or CRM systems
  • Target-focused with a professional attitude

Experience & Education

  • 1–3 years of experience in logistics sales or B2B sales
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
