Generating new business, expanding client accounts, and supporting the firm’s strategic growth. Work closely with engineers, project managers, and marketing teams to create compelling proposals and win engineering consultancy projects.
Key Responsibility
- Analyze market trends and identify opportunities in sectors like infrastructure, transportation, energy, water, and building services.
- Track public tenders, private sector projects, and development plans.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders: government agencies, developers, contractors, architects, and other consultants.
- Organize client meetings, presentations, and follow-ups.
- Collaborate with technical teams to prepare EOIs (Expressions of Interest), RFPs (Requests for Proposals), and tenders.
- Ensure high-quality, competitive, and compliant submissions.
- Identify and develop strategic alliances
- Contribute to the company’s growth strategy by identifying target sectors.
- Support in branding and positioning initiatives.
- Maintain records of leads, contacts, opportunities, and progress in a CRM system.
Key qualifications
- Experience: 3–10+ years in business development, preferably within engineering, construction, or infrastructure sectors.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of consulting engineering services (e.g., design, feasibility, project management).
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Familiarity with local procurement processes and regulations.
- Ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
