Business Development Executive

Role Overview

The Business Development Executive will be responsible for lead generation, hunting new customers, identifying projects, and supporting internal and new venture development across TSG’s diversified business portfolio including engineering, solar, IT systems, marketing, and digital commerce.

This is a proactive growth role focused on research, outreach, opportunity identification, and coordination — not desk-bound sales.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Generation & Project Hunting

  • Identify and generate new leads, customers, and projects across B2B and project-based markets
  • Actively hunt opportunities through tenders, platforms, referrals, consultants, and field research
  • Track upcoming projects, RFQs, EOIs, and business opportunities

Client & Market Development

  • Initiate contact with new clients, consultants, contractors, and partners
  • Support meetings, follow-ups, and introductory discussions
  • Build early-stage relationships to convert prospects into active opportunities

Internal Business Development

  • Coordinate internally with engineering, sales, marketing, and management teams
  • Support cross-selling across TSG companies
  • Assist in structuring offerings, pricing inputs, and value propositions

New Ventures & Research

  • Conduct research on new business ideas, services, and markets
  • Analyze feasibility, demand, and competitive landscape
  • Support management in evaluating and launching new ventures

Reporting & Tracking

  • Maintain lead trackers, pipelines, and opportunity reports
  • Share regular updates on progress, conversions, and challenges
  • Support proposal and documentation coordination when required

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Marketing, or related field
  • 1–4 years of experience in business development, sales, or market research
  • Exposure to B2B, project-based, or services businesses preferred
  • Strong communication, follow-up, and coordination skills
