Business Development Executive

Location: Oman (Muscat)

Our client is a leading consumer products company with a strong global presence in the beauty and wellness sector. Headquartered in Mumbai, they operate in over 25 countries across emerging markets in Asia, Africa & The Middle East. Their international consumer products portfolio is a significant contributor to the Group’s revenue, featuring well-known brands across various categories.

We are searching for a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Executive to spearhead business growth and achieve objectives in Oman.

Purpose of the Role:

To drive the business objectives and deliver strong results within the Omani market, contributing to the overall success of our client's international portfolio.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in sales, with a proven track record of success working specifically within Oman.
  • Experience managing distributor sales teams is essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze sales data and provide actionable insights.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Key Deliverables of the Role:

  1. Implement the country sales strategy effectively at both channel and portfolio levels.
  2. Collaborate with local teams to achieve business objectives and ensure target delivery.
  3. Build and maintain strong customer relationships to foster sales growth and enhance customer retention.
  4. Actively track competitor activities and proactively implement counter-measures as needed.
  5. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including marketing, supply chain, and finance.
  6. Provide regular reporting on pricing, sales performance, and in-market stock levels.
  7. Monitor and manage the sales budget, ensuring expenditures align with allocated resources.

Reporting Relationships:

This role reports to the Country Manager for Key Overseas Business.

  • Internal: Various internal stakeholders within our client's organization.
  • External: Oman Distributor, Trade Partners.
