Business Development Executive

Title: Business Development Executive – Packaging

(As the team grows, this person naturally steps into a BD Manager role and eventually heads the sales function.)

About the Role

You'll be the first dedicated sales hire at a custom printed packaging company. This is a hunter role — you'll own the full sales cycle from prospecting to close, build relationships with brands of all sizes, and lay the groundwork for what eventually becomes a full sales team. If you're someone who likes building from scratch and wants to grow into a leadership role, this is that opportunity.

What You'll Do

  • Identify and prospect potential clients — startups, D2C brands, retail businesses, FMCG companies, corporates
  • Own the full sales cycle: outreach → discovery → quotation → negotiation → close
  • Build and maintain a pipeline using a CRM (or basic tracking tools to start)
  • Understand client needs and work with the production/design team to propose the right packaging solution
  • Follow up on leads, referrals, and past clients to drive repeat business
  • Represent the company at trade events, industry meetups, or client visits where needed
  • Share market feedback — what competitors are offering, what clients are asking for — to inform product and pricing decisions
  • Hit monthly and quarterly revenue targets
  • Eventually: onboard and mentor junior sales staff as the team expands

What We're Looking For

  • 2–4 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in packaging, printing, FMCG, or manufacturing
  • Strong communicator — can confidently pitch to a startup founder and a corporate procurement manager in the same week
  • Self-starter who doesn't need hand-holding to fill a pipeline
  • Comfortable with numbers — understands margins, MOQs, pricing structures
  • Lahore-based (or willing to work on-site)
  • Existing network in brand, retail, or FMCG space is a strong plus
