Business Development Executive(Upwork)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify relevant projects on freelancing platforms aligned with company services
  • Write compelling proposals and cover letters tailored to client requirements
  • Communicate with clients to understand project scope and build relationships
  • Negotiate pricing, timelines, and project terms
  • Maintain a strong sales pipeline and achieve monthly targets
  • Coordinate with internal teams (developers, designers, etc.) for accurate project estimation
  • Track bidding performance and optimize strategies
  • Handle client follow-ups and ensure conversion of leads

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 2–5 years of experience in bidding on platforms like Upwork or similar
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
  • Proven ability to win projects and meet sales targets
  • Knowledge of IT services (web development, mobile apps, UI/UX, etc.)
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and proposal tracking
  • Excellent negotiation and client-handling skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in international client handling
  • Understanding of technical concepts (e.g., Web Development, Mobile App Development)
  • Ability to manage junior bidders or a bidding team
