Business Development Manager

Position Overview:
You will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic sales environment, offering supplemental insurance products that support clients through life’s unpredictable moments. You will work closely with business owners, human resource professionals, and employees to provide tailored benefits solutions. This is a commission-based role with unlimited earning potential, offering the flexibility and independence to build your own success. Our experienced local team will provide training and continuous support with client acquisition and client management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales and Business Development: Identify and prospect new clients (businesses, HR departments, etc.) to offer Colonial Life products.
  • Product Education: Educate businesses and employees about Colonial Life’s supplemental insurance products and benefits packages.
  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their needs and provide customized solutions.
  • Presentation and Negotiation: Present products and solutions in a clear, compelling way. Negotiate contracts and close sales.
  • Client Retention: Provide excellent customer service and support to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
  • Ongoing Training: Stay current on industry trends, product offerings, and best practices. Participate in training and development opportunities to improve sales skills.

Key Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in sales, preferably in the insurance or financial services industry.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a sales territory.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to thrive in a commission-based environment.
  • Experience with business-to-business sales is a plus.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with a variety of stakeholders.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
