Job Title: Business Development Manager – Managed Services

Job Summary

The Business Development Manager (BDM) – Managed Services is responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities for managed IT services. This role focuses on building strong client relationships, understanding customer needs, and positioning managed service offerings as long-term, value-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities for managed services (IT, cloud, security, backup,etc.)
  • Generate and qualify leads through networking, cold outreach, partners, and marketing campaigns
  • Conduct client meetings to understand business challenges and align managed service solutions
  • Develop proposals, pricing models, Statements of Work (SOW), and contracts
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to deal closure
  • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline and accurate forecasts
  • Collaborate with pre-sales, technical, and delivery teams to design solutions
  • Present managed services value propositions, SLAs, and ROI to customers
  • Negotiate contracts and close multi-year managed service agreements
  • Maintain long-term client relationships and identify upsell/cross-sell opportunities
  • Track market trends, competitors, and customer requirements
  • Meet or exceed assigned revenue and growth targets

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven experience in B2B sales or business development, preferably in managed services or IT services
  • Strong understanding of managed service models, SLAs, and recurring revenue (MRR)
  • Ability to articulate technical solutions in business terms
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills
  • Experience managing complex sales cycles and enterprise accounts
  • CRM experience (Salesforce,etc.)
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience selling MSP, MSSP, or cloud services
  • Knowledge of ITIL, ISO, SOC, or compliance-driven services
  • Understanding of pricing models (per-user, per-device, tiered, consumption-based)
  • Existing client relationships or industry network
  • MBA or business-related postgraduate qualification

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, IT, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in IT services or managed services sales

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
