Job Title: Business Development Officer - Immediate Hiring
Location: [Sharjah Hamriyah FZE]
Start Date: Immediate

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Business Development Officer to support our sales operations within the petrochemicals industry, focusing on solvents, chemicals, and specialty chemicals. The ideal candidate will play a key role in expanding market reach and supporting the sales team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sell a variety of industrial chemicals to sectors including:
  • Paint Manufacturing
  • Printing & Inks
  • Flexible Packaging
  • Cosmetics
  • Retain existing clients and develop new business leads.
  • Coordinate effectively with both new and existing customers.
  • Identify client requirements, generate RFQs, submit quotations, and follow up on orders.
  • Manage the delivery of product samples and ensure customer feedback/approval.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with clients about products, forecasts, and order status.
  • Gather and analyze market intelligence and competitor activity.
  • Submit timely sales reports and updates as per company policy.
  • Liaise with production and logistics teams to ensure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Support export sales and contribute to business development initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or BSc Chemistry (Mandatory)
  • MBA in Logistics or International Marketing is a strong plus
  • Languages: Fluency in English

Experience:

  • UAE 2–3 years of experience in:
  • Paints & Adhesives
  • Lubricants
  • Base Oil
  • White Oils / Transformer Oils / Petroleum Jelly / Cosmetics Raw Materials (Manufacturing & Trading)
  • Soap & Detergents
  • Flexible Packaging
  • Chemical Raw Materials
  • Experience in export sales is advantageous

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong interpersonal and customer relationship management abilities
  • Proficient in IT skills, including use of CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and online portals
  • Experienced in handling customer inquiries through various online platforms and email
  • Capable of browsing online portals to research market trends, generate leads, and respond to client needs
  • Telemarketing skills and analytical thinking
  • Ability to identify and respond to market demands and competition activity

Other Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel for client meetings and industry events as needed
  • Strong team coordination and multitasking ability
