We're seeking a passionate and proactive Buyer to be the commercial cornerstone of our supply chain. In this pivotal role, you'll serve as our direct interface with a diverse supply base, managing all commercial aspects to ensure optimal performance, cost efficiency, and strong partnerships. Essential Functions

Develop and nurture strong, long-term commercial relationships with suppliers and Ford Customer Service Division.

Lead and resolve commercial disputes and challenges with the supply base.

Conduct negotiations for price, lead time, minimum order quantities, and other commercial aspects.

Analyze supplier price changes, challenge increases, and amend purchase orders.

Manage new part/supplier business quoting, including Request for Quotes.

Proactively identify and implement cost-saving opportunities across the acquisition process.

Support planning analysts in addressing and improving chronic late deliveries.

Identify and integrate continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain.

Develop a strong understanding of procured parts and manufacturing processes.

Assist with claim processing and maintain accurate supplier contact and part master data.

Validate and track company-owned tooling at suppliers and support Ford production program launches.
We're looking for a motivated professional who can excel in this dynamic role. To be successful, you will typically possess a Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university, two to four years of relevant experience in a buyer or supply chain role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates your capability to perform the essential duties.
