Job Title: Buyer (Fresher)

Department: Purchasing / Procurement
Reporting To: Purchase Manager / Operations Manager

Job Summary:

The Buyer (Fresher) will assist in sourcing, purchasing, and coordinating the supply of goods required for store operations. The role involves vendor communication, price comparison, stock monitoring, and ensuring timely delivery of products.

Key Responsibilities:1️ Purchasing Support

  • Assist in preparing purchase orders as per stock requirements
  • Coordinate with suppliers for quotations and price comparison
  • Follow up on pending orders and delivery schedules
  • Ensure correct quantity and quality of received items

2️ Vendor Coordination

  • Maintain good relationship with existing suppliers
  • Collect new supplier details and product catalogs
  • Support negotiation discussions under manager supervision

3️ Inventory Monitoring

  • Monitor stock levels and report shortages
  • Coordinate with store team for fast-moving and slow-moving items
  • Assist in avoiding overstock and stock expiry

4️ Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain purchase records and invoices
  • Update purchase data in system or Excel sheets
  • Prepare basic purchase reports when required

5️ Market Research

  • Compare market prices regularly
  • Identify new products and better pricing options
  • Support promotional and seasonal purchase planning

Skills Required:

  • Basic knowledge of MS Excel
  • Good communication skills
  • Negotiation basics (training will be provided)
  • Attention to detail
  • Willingness to learn

Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Commerce / Business / Any related field)
  • Freshers can apply

Preferred:

  • Basic understanding of supermarket or retail operations
  • Knowledge of inventory system (optional)
