Role Purpose
The Buyer is responsible for managing procurement activities related to
automation, digitalization, and system integration solutions
, including
SCADA, BMS, PLC, IoT, and Industry 4.0 technologies
.
The role ensures the timely sourcing of high-quality materials, equipment, and services while maintaining cost efficiency, compliance, and alignment with project and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Procurement & Sourcing
-
Manage end-to-end procurement of automation and system integration components such as:
-
SCADA systems
-
BMS (Building Management Systems)
-
PLCs, RTUs, DCS
-
Sensors, instrumentation, control panels
-
IoT and smart devices
-
Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers and OEMs.
-
Source materials based on technical specifications and project requirements.
2. Vendor Management
-
Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and technology partners.
-
Conduct vendor evaluation, performance monitoring, and compliance checks.
-
Negotiate pricing, delivery timelines, and commercial terms.
3. Purchase Order Management
-
Prepare and issue RFQs, analyze quotations, and perform techno-commercial evaluations.

Generate and manage purchase orders in line with company policies.
-
Track order status to ensure timely delivery and resolve supply issues.
4. Technical Coordination
-
Collaborate with engineering, projects, and sales teams to understand technical requirements.
-
Ensure procurement aligns with project BOQ, specifications, and compliance standards.
-
Support technical clarification with suppliers and OEMs.
5. Cost Control & Optimization
-
Drive cost-saving initiatives through strategic sourcing and negotiation.

Monitor market trends, pricing benchmarks, and supply risks.

Optimize procurement processes for efficiency and value.
6. Compliance & Documentation
-
Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and Saudi regulations.

Maintain accurate procurement documentation, contracts, and supplier records.
-
Support audits and reporting requirements.
7. Logistics & Coordination
-
Coordinate with logistics teams for shipment tracking, delivery, and customs clearance.

Ensure proper documentation for imports, especially for specialized automation equipment.
Qualifications & Experience
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.

Minimum
5 years of experience
in procurement within:
-
Automation
-
System Integration
-
Industrial / Digital Solutions
-
Strong experience in sourcing automation products such as SCADA, BMS, PLC, and instrumentation.
-
Experience working in
Saudi Arabia or GCC market
preferred.
